Basking in the Afterglow

$1,000.00

What began as a very large, very pink flower got painted over, toned down, quieted. What remained was a swirl of soft pink and warm peach, and in the left side of that swirl, a bird shape that survived from underneath, its dark eye and sweeping wing still visible if you look. In the upper right, the faint geometry of a city at a distance.

The feeling at the end of a good day, when the light is still warm and there's nothing left to do but let it go.

20” x 24” x 1.5” acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. Wired and ready to hang.
