Warm pink and yellow fill the canvas with the kind of light that makes everything feel possible. Dark flower stems rise from the bottom, their marks loose and gestural, and above them the surface scatters into black notation-like marks and clusters of purple dots… the visual equivalent of a song playing while you paint.
The title comes close to a line from Angus and Julia Stone's "Grizzly Bear," which was playing when this was made. A friend had just introduced the music, and it found its way in.
