Who knew dragons were so good at hiding

$400.00

Started from something small: the accidental marks left on a drop cloth after other paintings were made. Drips, blobs, the residue of the creative process. These marks asked what they would look like given more space.

The dragon wasn't planned. It appeared when the painting was finished. Dark green head in the upper center, two white eyes, green tongue extending left, blue spotted body running vertically below. It had been hiding in plain sight the whole time, camouflaged in its own colors. Once you see it you can't unsee it.

16” x 12” acrylic on canvas. Framed in a walnut floating frame. Framed size is 13” x 17” x 1.5” Wired and ready to hang.
